Thank you for your interest in Front Range CrossFit. We offer group workouts six days a week. Personal training sessions can also be arranged. Your first workout is always free. We want you to experience the quality of Coaching at FRCF before making your decision to join.
Front Range CrossFit was the first, and is the largest, dedicated, full time CrossFit facility in the greater Denver area. We are in our fourth year as a CrossFit Afffiliate. We have enough Kettlebells, dumbbells, barbells, bumper plates, jump boxes, Dynamax medicine balls, slam balls, gymnastics rings and 50' of pull-up bars to effectively train up to 25 athletes at a time, and we do so every day. We post pictures and the athletes' results on our website after each workout. Our athletes can go back and review their results from the past and see the improvements that they have made. This is an amazingly effective motivator!!
The CrossFit program is completely different from the experience you will get at any big box gym. The workouts are done in a small group session, with anywhere from six to twenty-five people. You will learn the Olympic lifts, Kettlebells, Power lifting, basic gymnastics moves and many different kinds of bodyweight exercises. There is a ton of great information about the specifics of the CrossFit methodology on our website.
There are several ways to get started with Front Range CrossFit (FRCF).
CrossFit Skills Sessions
The most popular entry point into our program is with our CrossFit Skills Sessions, which are scheduled at 6:30 PM on Tuesday and Thursday, and Saturday at 11:30 AM. For the first three weeks that you are a member at FRCF, these are the workouts you will attend. During these 9 sessions, you will learn the skills necessary to integrate smoothly and safely into our regular Group Workouts. Each session will include specific skill training and practice, as well as a CrossFit WOD. These sessions will always have at least 2 Coaches, and will be smaller than our Group Workouts.
You do not have to wait until the start of a training sequence, you can start on any Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday. After your first 9 CrossFit Skill Sessions you will be able to attend any of our regularly scheduled Group Workouts. We currently offer 42 different workout times per week. For your first workout with us, please come 30 minutes prior to the start of your workout so you can fill out the paperwork, and we can talk before you start. Your first workout is always free.
One-on-one Sessions
Some people prefer to learn in a one-on-one environment. We can make that arrangement. We will cover the same skills as our CrossFit Skills Sessions. It normally takes about 5 sessions to aquire the needed skills to enjoy any of our Group Workouts.
Test Out
For those people that have been doing CrossFit for a while, either at another Affiliate or on their own, we offer a test-out option. You can contact us and we will schedule a time for you to come in and demonstrate your competence with one of our Coaches. Here is something to consider. We will ask you to demonstrate many different exercises. If, sitting at your computer right now, you know and could demonstrate the difference between a power clean, hang power clean, squat clean, and a hang squat clean, you will probably be fine. If the last sentence was written in a language other than English for you, you should come in for the CrossFit Skills Sessions.
