Louisa is a Colorado native who grew up playing any sport she could get her hands on, including soccer, tennis, hockey, and snowboarding.
It wasn’t until she went to boarding school on the east coast that she found her true calling, rowing. Louisa continued her rowing career at Williams College in Massachusetts, where she won three Division III National Championships and was named a two-time All American Rower.
After college, Louisa dabbled in a number of fitness classed (Body Pump, Pilates, Yoga, Spin…) in search of a similar fitness program and team atmosphere she enjoyed while rowing. After resisting trying Crossfit for a few years, she found Front Range CrossFit in the fall of 2009 and was immediately hooked.
Since joining FRCF, Louisa placed 19th in the 2010 Mountain Sectionals, which earned her an individual place in the 2010 North Central Regional Competition. Louisa also placed 4th in the 2010 Colorado Open.
When Louisa isn’t in the gym, she spends her time making custom sterling silver jewelry. Her favorite part of CrossFit is the team atmosphere and shared sense of hard work and dedication. What she loves about coaching is seeing the amazing improvements in physical and mental capabilities that happen every day at the gym.
